Bathroom renovation

San Jose, California

Each project begins with an idea. This homeowner wanted clean lines with craftsman accents to open up the dark existing space. For openness, we removed a wall, added a high window for natural light, and constructed a half-wall for openness with privacy. After building a deep pantry behind the shower, we added a second fixture on the opposite shower wall, framed a curb for the enclosure, and installed high-end custom marble tile high to balance the tall ceiling space. To create a seamless leveled transition between wood flooring and tile, we built up the sub-flooring. The client was thrilled with craftsmanship features: molding on the pony-wall, around the window, and above the mirrors, and accents integrating pantry cabinetry with the vanity. The color palette of soft gray and white allowed for the smaller tiles - modern with a vintage flair, which the homeowner loved - to fit in a big space. These were many of the unique details that resulted in tremendous customer satisfaction. The final product was exactly as the excited client had hoped and imagined.

EVERY HOME TELLS A STORY

A family's story is expressed in their home. It is a gathering place. A sacred space. We are family-owned; we understand the privilege of being in your home. We work hard to maintain trust. We vet our subcontractors. We keep on top of the demo mess. We try to stay in the background, while putting a huge emphasis on communication. We enjoy the different personalities and design preferences that each family brings to the table. We love helping you tell your family's story.

Kitchen Renovation

Monte Sereno, California

This client's eye for detail created fun challenges for us. The client wanted to optimize the existing space. With vaulted ceilings, our challenge was to open-up the kitchen in a big but non-dominating fashion. Every decision was towards a streamlined, clean, utilitarian style. While constructing the infinity/waterfall edges on the island, we created a seamless transition from the countertop to the side. We built it to accommodate an occasional fourth chair without the appearance of wide unused space without the extra chair. The specialized pendant fixtures were 30 lbs each, requiring special ceiling support. To maintain the client's desire for a flat/straight style, we were meticulous with alignment; any slight error would have been discernible. We enjoyed all the modern, engineered, high-quality materials we worked with: the amazing backsplash tile, quality countertops, candelabra lights, under-the-cabinet LED lights, and high-end appliances. The crown molding and custom windows were finishing touches on a beautiful project.
